Albus Dumbledore

Michael Gambon played the role of the principal of Hogwarts, the greatest sorcerer in J.K. Rowling's universe, as of the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). The film adaptations have done much to extend the success of the novel series. Dumbledore's appearance, with long robe and long white beard, pays tribute to Merlin, Gandalf, and all the great wizards who preceded him.
